In fact, the country’s leading buffet restaurant chain, Golden Corral is changing its format and removing its self-serve buffets. Many Las Vegas casinos have seen their final buffet days and so have cruise-lines. All this comes from a fear of touching utensils that others have touched. Considering people touch their cell phones (contaminated with 17,000 germs, including E. coli) and doorknobs, menus, elevator buttons, and armrests that thousands of people have touched, where do we draw the line?
